The Bitcoin Foundation was an American nonprofit corporation. It was founded in September in order to try to restore the reputation of Bitcoin after several scandals, and to try to promote its development and uptake. Established in , we are the first Bitcoin and Blockchain technology nonprofit (c)(3), transforming the world for better using digital currencies. Bitcoin is a digital cryptocurrency that can be purchased and traded by anyone with access to the internet, anywhere in the world. U.S. nonprofits are legally able to accept donations in the form of Bitcoin.
